Our dream is to build a village, a habitat that will represent our vision of society living in tune with earth.. We are one step closer with our partner OTP Bank, for which we have created and implemented a concept OTP village.
Just a few kilometers from the center of Belgrade, a habitat for thousands of plants and bees, OTP VILLAGE was launched. The launch of an urban apiary and nursery with 1,200 bee friendly plants is the latest in a series of initiatives by which OTP Bank, providing support for environmental activism and contributing to the protection and increase of biodiversity.
According to Milena Mićanović, Director of Communications and Public Relations of OTP Bank, the Bank carefully assesses its direct and indirect impacts on the environment and supports initiatives that have a positive impact on the overall state of the ecosystem.
"The fact that bees pollinate more than 70% of plants and that the same percentage of the total flora and fauna depends on these little creatures, encouraged us to think about this important topic and to start OTP Village together with our partners from the "Supernatural".
Establishing nursery of bee friendly plants and set up of and apiary with 6 bee hives is a way to contribute to the preservation of biodiversity, but also to raise awareness of the most important living being on the planet – the bee.
