Water is life, it is essential for all living organisms on the planet. Water is also the most important ingredient of beer ;).
Heineken globally has launched a strategy “Brew a better world” built on the understanding that “we can only thrive when the environment around us thrives, too”
“We are leaning into our biggest opportunities and challenges with our ambitions to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, maximize the circularity of our products and processes, and priorities the health of local watersheds, especially in water-stressed areas.”
Within the strategy there is also a bold vision oh Heineken “ Every drop counts” to support of UN Sustainable Goal 6, dedicated to protecting water resources. Focus is on impact to communities and healthy watersheds. “Every liter of water used in products, will be given back to the watershed in water stressed areas.” Check Heineken's "Every Drop Counts" concept.
That is why Heineken cares for waters and the rivers and engages its employees to get active in water conservation.
Supernatural corporation partnered up with Heineken, and organized several activities that support Heinekens “Every drop counts 2030 vision”. Employees of the HEINEKEN Serbia company, marked the birthday of their breweries by river clean up activity, where together we cleaned the coastal part of the Danube and Crni Timok river. A large number of company volunteers cleaned 600 meters of the banks of the Danube and Crni Timok rivers near Novi Sad and Zaječar. On this occasion, more than 150 bags of of plastic bottles, cans, car tires, bags, nylons and various other waste, were collected, as well as five full tractor-trailers of invasive plant species from the nature reserve in Sremski Karlovci.
After the events, a picnic was organized to celebrate the good work done.
